It's February, and that means it's time for Carnaval in La Paz. This year, Carnaval begins on February 8th, and will run until February 13th, with parades on the 11th, 12th and 13th. If you're in town, you don't want to miss this fun celebration, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

We are also excited to welcome a new member, Sue Bell, to the Baja Life Realty team. Sue brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role as our new office administrator. In La Paz, Carnaval is celebrated with gusto and runs for several days culminating in three parades on the last three days leading up to Ash Wednesday. This year, Carnaval begins on February 8th, and will run until February 13th, with parades on the 11th, 12th and 13th. Saturday, December 9th, the calculation of the Royal Court selection will be carried out, from which the next Carnival Queen and other positions of honor will emerge for this festivity. The planning committee has chosen the theme Fantastic Mexico for this year, and it is sure to be a huge party. In addition to rides, carnival games, food stalls and artisanal booths all along the Malecón, there will be a main stage as well as 11 other stages set up where performances of all types are scheduled for young and old throughout the 5 days of festival. Over 1,500 artists and performers are scheduled to participate! The La Paz Municipal Police department will ensure that there are almost 250 members and 30 vehicles assigned to ensuring the peace and security of those attending. Carnaval is truly a Mexican celebration that you don’t want to miss!
