Hi Friend,

For those of us who live year-round in La Paz, this is the time of year when we pride ourselves on making it through the summer heat. One way to do that is, of course, to head to the beach! But, which beach should you choose? Our latest blog post provides a list of local La Paz area beaches, each with it's own charms and amenities. Whether you are looking to sink your toes in the sand at a table and order food and drinks, or head to a more remote spot for a day of snorkeling and paddleboarding, La Paz has a beach you will love. See our article below for details.

There have been a lot of questions lately about the water supply in La Paz. We have good news: a new potabilization plant is coming online Monday, September 2, bringing some much-needed relief to around 30,000 residents of La Paz. The  water for this plant comes from the “La Buena Mujer” dam, located 8.8 miles up in the mountains. See our article below for details.

Even if you are not here in town, you may already be planning your next trip to La Paz. If you are thinking of buying or building a home, we are excited to announce that Villas del Centenario, the premier master-planned community of ocean view homes nestled in the hills of El Centenario, is once again open for sales. Of the 40+ lots available, there are now 18 homes completed or under construction. That means there are still plenty of lots available to reserve with ocean views. This fully fenced and gated community features large, 1,500 M2 lots, and planned amenities include city utilities (water, electricity), fiber-optic Internet, a clubhouse/gym, paved internal roads, 2 pickleball courts, a BBQ area and more. There are six home models available to choose from, with something for every taste and budget. Check out our article below for details.

Whether you are here in La Paz, planning a visit or enjoying cooler temperatures up north, we hope you are enjoying your summer, and we look forward to seeing you here soon.

Sincerely,
The Baja Life Realty Team

More Water Coming for La Paz
An article published in the Gringo Gazette recently announced that a brand new potabilization plant is coming online Monday, September 2, bringing some much-needed relief to around 30,000 residents. The untreated water for this plant comes all the way from the “La Buena Mujer” dam, located 8.8 miles up in the mountains. This nearly $8 million USD investment isn’t just good news for those 30,000 folks—it will also indirectly benefit another 99,500 people in the northern part of the city. With this new plant online, those in the north won’t have to share their water supply as much, meaning everyone gets a bit more. It’s a significant step forward in addressing the city’s water needs, and you can bet the residents are eagerly anticipating the difference this plant will make.
La Paz Beaches
When it's summertime in La Paz, life's a beach.
Situated on the Sea of Cortez, La Paz is known throughout Mexico for its beautiful, swimmable beaches. Local residents here know there are many beaches to choose from, some right here in town, and others a bit further out. So, which one should you choose for your summer beach day? We have created this list to help you decide. Of course, if you have time, visiting all of them is always a great way to spend your summer! This list includes beaches that can be reached from Transpeninsular Highway 1, the road that runs through La Paz along the Malecón, and heads north and east out of town. Each beach is named and has a brief description, including what you can expect there and what services are available, as well as the map link to find it.
