It's summer in La Paz, the weather is warming up, although the mornings and evenings are still cool and windy, perfect for a stroll on the beach or the La Paz malecón to enjoy our famous sunrises and sunsets. When the warmer weather arrives, many of our winter visitors and seasonal residents head back north. However, more and more of our friends and neighbors are making La Paz their full-time home. We are often asked, what is it like in La Paz during the summer? Isn't it too hot? The truth is, yes it gets hot, especially later in the summer during August and September. But for many of us who live here year-round, summer is our favorite time of year! The crowds thin out, the water warms up, and off we go to enjoy our favorite summer hobbies, like snorkeling (no wetsuit needed!), paddleboarding, and just lazing the day away at the beach.

In years past, summer was a time to slow down and savor the long, sunny days.
