Hi Friend,
Are you looking to make the move to Mexico sometime soon? Are you considering different destinations and wondering which location is right for you? If so, hopefully you've already discovered our friend Brighton West's YouTube channel Almost Retired in Mexico. It's chock full of informative videos answering many of the questions our clients ask when considering a move here. In his latest video, Brighton explains why he and his lovely wife, Kat, chose La Paz over other locations they were considering. Then, they join our broker, Jim MacDonald, for a tour of some La Paz area homes and explain why you get more for your investment in La Paz versus a more touristy destination such as Cabo. Check out Brighton's video below. It's a very informative and fun video, and we hope you enjoy it. We've included links to a few of the homes featured in the video below in this newsletter, so you can get more details there.
Do you love to go hiking? Want to enjoy some spectacular vistas while you're here in La Paz? Check out our latest blog post from our intrepid marketing admin, Sue Bell, on Hiking in La Paz to get the scoop on some great hikes in and around La Paz.
If you are planning a visit to La Paz soon, we encourage you to check out our Resources page, where you'll find our Visitor's Guide, our Things to See and Do in La Paz Guide, and more. And of course, reach out to us anytime at info@bajaliferealty.com if you have questions, we are always happy to help and look forward to seeing you here.

La Paz vs Cabo: Which is Better for You?
Join Brighton West in his latest video as he talks about the differences between these two popular Baja California Sur destinations.

People often ask us: "How did you end up in La Paz?" We knew we wanted a home in Baja, and we had been visiting Cabo for years on vacation. But when it came to buying our dream vacation home, we knew we wanted to be somewhere a little less touristy. The locals in Cabo we spoke with all told us we needed to check out La Paz. They spoke in glowing terms La Paz's peaceful vibe, its beautiful beaches, and affordable lifestyle. Recently, our friend Brighton West of Almost Retired in Mexico created a video on this topic, and we think it provides a great look into why we, and many of our friends and clients, choose to make their home here in La Paz. Join Brighton, his wife, Kat, and Jim as they explore the charm and affordability of La Paz. In this video, they guide you through the stunning landscapes on the road from Cabo to La Paz, stopping at some favorite spots, and diving deep into the real estate market in La Paz. Whether you're interested in prices, community lifestyle, or making the move to paradise, you'll find lots of valuable information in this video.

Hiking in La Paz One of the best ways to see La Paz is by hiking to a great vantage point.
|
|
|
|
As anyone who visits the city quickly notices, the landscape around La Paz is gorgeous! Many people ask about getting out into nature and exploring. Tours are one option, but hiking is another great way to immerse yourself in nature. While temperatures in the summer (June to October) make it more challenging for hiking, it is still possible to go out for short hikes at sunrise. The Cerro de la Calavera caves, The Balandra look out, or the Tecolote Headland all qualify as short hikes. From November to the end of May, the conditions are perfect for hiking and there are many great hikes right in and around La Paz. In this post, we feature five favorite hikes in and around La Paz. Each of them will get you out into the natural environment to enjoy the beauty of the desert, the water, and the places where they come together. There are short, 15 minute hikes, longer (3-4 hour), more challenging hikes, and everything in between.

"We selected Gordon Wison and Baja Life Realty to sell our home in La Paz last November. I can't say enough good things about Gord and his approach to selling our home. He is personable, professional, and has a real flair for innovative sales and marketing, which worked well for us. Gord's attention to detail throughout the sales process was managed with kindness, consideration and ongoing communication. I highly recommend Gordon Wilson and Baja Life Realty if you are looking to sell or buy in La Paz." — Valarie Austen
